Undergraduate Program

Sanitary Installation and Plumbing

Program Overview

Modern civilisation depends on the safe delivery of clean water and the efficient removal of waste. The Sanitary Installation and Plumbing program at ISEST is a highly technical engineering discipline focused on the design, installation, and maintenance of complex fluid systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

This program goes far beyond basic repairs, teaching students the hydraulics, thermodynamics, and structural integration required for large-scale plumbing networks. Enrolling at the HND level and progressing to a B.Tech, students learn to interpret fluid dynamics, design automated pumping stations, and implement sustainable water-recycling systems. They graduate ready to manage massive infrastructure projects and ensure public health through superior sanitary engineering.

Main Objectives

  • To teach the principles of hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and thermal dynamics as they apply to building services.
  • To develop expert proficiency in designing water supply and wastewater drainage layouts using CAD software.
  • To train students in the professional installation of diverse piping materials (PPR, PVC, Copper, PEX) and specialized sanitary fixtures.
  • To build skills in designing and maintaining high-pressure fire suppression systems and industrial pumping stations.
  • To equip graduates with the ability to implement green plumbing technologies, including rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling.
