Choosing where to study is one of the most important decisions of your life. At ISEST, we don’t take that lightly. Our admissions process is designed not just to select students, but to welcome them, to give every motivated, capable individual the opportunity to pursue a quality education in engineering, science, agriculture, medical sciences, or technology, regardless of their background.

Whether you are a school leaver entering higher education for the first time, a professional looking to formalise your skills, or a graduate wanting to advance your career with a specialist technical qualification, ISEST has a programme pathway for you. Our doors are open to students with A/Level qualifications, and existing HND holders looking to top up to a full degree.

The Application Process — Step by Step

Choose Your Program

Browse ISEST’s seven schools and over 30 Programs. Consider your interests, career goals, and educational background. If you are unsure, visit the campus or contact our admissions team, we are happy to guide you through the options and help you identify the best-fit program.

Obtain and Complete an Admission Form

Admission forms are available in person at the ISEST campus. Complete all sections carefully and accurately, providing the required personal, academic, and contact information. Our admissions staff are on hand during office hours to assist with any questions about the form.

Prepare and Submit Your Documents

Gather all required supporting documents as specified for your applicant category (HND 1, HND 2 Transfer, B-Tech Top-Up, or Master’s). Document requirements vary by level — see the Admission Requirements page for the complete, detailed list for your category.

Pay the Registration Fee

Submit the registration fee at the time of application. This fee covers the processing of your application and registration in the ISEST student system. Contact the admissions office for current fee amounts and accepted payment methods.

Receive Your Admission Decision

Once your application and documents are reviewed, you will receive your admission decision. Successful applicants will receive an official offer letter and orientation information. Our admissions team will contact you directly with next steps for enrolment, timetable selection, and fee payment.

Enrol and Begin Your Studies

Complete your enrolment, pay your tuition, receive your student ID, and attend the new student orientation. Welcome to ISEST — your journey begins here.

ELIGIBILITY

Who Can Apply?

HND 1 Students

Students who have completed secondary school with A/Level qualifications or it’s equivelent are eligible to apply for the first year (HND 1) of any program. No prior higher education experience is required.

Transfer Students

Students who have completed HND Year 1 at another recognised institution can transfer into ISEST’s HND Year 2 (with a transcript from their previous school). All relevant ISEST entry requirements still apply.

B-Tech Applicants

HND holders from ISEST or other recognised institutions can apply for the one-year Bachelor of Technology (B-Tech) top-up program in their field of specialisation.

Master's Degree Applicants

Holders of a Bachelor’s degree or B-Tech from ISEST or a recognised institution can apply for Master’s degree programs offered in partnership with YIBS. A CV and motivational letter are required.

Working Professionals

Professionals seeking to formalise their practical experience or upskill in a technical field are warmly welcomed. Evening class options are available across multiple programs to accommodate working students.

International Students

ISEST welcomes applications from students from across Central Africa and beyond. International students should contact the admissions office for guidance on document authentication and any additional enrolment steps.
