Information System and Security

Program Overview

In an era where data is an organisation’s most valuable asset, protecting that data from sophisticated cyber threats is a global priority. The Information System and Security program at ISEST is designed to train the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, systems auditors, and defensive security engineers.

This comprehensive technical program combines the principles of robust information systems management with advanced defensive and offensive security strategies. Students learn to analyse organisational risks, detect vulnerabilities, configure secure network architectures, and respond effectively to live digital breaches. Available at both the HND level and for progression to a B.Tech, this program provides the practical training and lab-based experience required to protect critical corporate infrastructure and sensitive digital assets.

Main Objectives

  • To teach students how to design, implement, and maintain highly secure information systems and enterprise networks.
  • To develop deep technical proficiency in identifying vulnerabilities through ethical hacking and penetration testing.
  • To equip students with the skills to monitor networks, analyze logs, and execute real-time incident response plans.
  • To introduce the regulatory frameworks, compliance laws, and risk assessment methodologies used in corporate governance.
  • To prepare students to safeguard organizations against malware, data breaches, insider threats, and cyber warfare.
